Description:
MIFA Handyman needs volunteers to serve as supply troubleshooters from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 7 - 10, 15 - 18 and July 12 - 15, 26 - 29. Two volunteers are needed each day. Volunteers are only required to serve on one of the dates listed, but they are welcome to participate on more than one day!
Supply troubleshooters will drive supplies to various MIFA Handyman sites and make sure youth volunteers at those sites have everything they need. (Note: supply troubleshooters are NOT responsible for supervising youth or performing any home repairs.
To volunteer, you must have a reliable vehicle (does not need to be able to transport large items), a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance; must complete a MIFA volunteer application and submit to a background check.
Trainings for these sessions will be held at MIFA headquarters (910 Vance Ave.) from 3 to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
June 4 for volunteers working June 7 - 10
June 14 for volunteers working June 15 - 18
July 9 for volunteers working July 12 - 15
July 23 for volunteers working July 26 - 29
